A Note to a Fellow Blogger

We live in strange times, and technology has only made life stranger. There are people in this world that I only communicate with through the blogosphere by leaving messages on their blogs and reading the messages they leave on mine. That's bizarre. And communicating this way is sometimes really weird and awkward. You can leave a comment for a blogger expecting to hear back from them and - nothing - for weeks or even months because the other blogger just doesn't get around to posting for a while. Not that I am ever guilty of such a thing. *cough* *cough* Or a blogger may use moderated comments and then, when you leave a comment it feels like it has just disappeared into the ether. Again, if the other blogger isn't around, it can take weeks or longer for the other person to get the comment.

Any way, the following message is for one such blogger. He will know who he is.

Adam (no, this is not a message to myself),

I just wanted to let you know that I'm around and have been reading your blog. I have to admit I'm a little bit worried about you. I've tried leaving messages on your board, but I noticed that you switched to moderated mode for messages and as I said above, I just don't feel certain that you have necessarily gotten them. So I've resorted to this - a message directly to you on my blog.

If you're still around and you get this, drop me a line. Remember, you can always e-mail me direct: adeutsch1@pghboe.net.

Hang in there my friend.

O.K. that's that. One of these days I'll get around to posting for real.
